The Botched Blog

The Results are In

The Expression Engine $15,000 Shootout results have been announced… And… Third Place! Nice! Honestly, I really wasn’t expecting anything. After limbo-ing my entry in just under the deadline, and seeing all the crafty, beautiful, and masterful work that was submitted in total, I figured I’d just move right along and mind my own business—And start on my redesign! Seriously. I’m generally terrified of contests and competition, especially concerning to creative matters, and when I saw the scope and quality of work embodied in the EE Shootout entries—I wanted to go home, unplug my powerbook. throw it in the cat-box, package it up with the rest of the “almond rocca”, and set it out on the curb for collection day. Okay, maybe not. But there was a ton of great work there.

Congratulations to all the winners, and big thanks to the kind folks over at pMachine for putting this little shootout together. Big thanks as well to all the judges, including Cameron Moll and Narayan Nayar for their extremely kind and generous comments regarding this site.

  2. Congratulations! It is nice to see that someone with a website that beautiful does struggle with the same thoughts as I do. Hope that my next redesign (on May 1st wink) will be as satisfying…

  4. Congratulations man, that’s awesome!  Honestly, your site is well crafted and it makes me want to switch from wordpress.  But, I have no free time and not enough desire to do much more customization than I have smile
