David Crowder Band at the Flint Center

Went to see David Crowder Band at the Flint Center this evening. They rocked. It was fun. Actually, they were the opening band for Third Day, but as we’re not real big on those guys, we skedaddled outta there pretty quick after Crowder’s set.
We’ve listened to quite a bit of the DCB over the last couple years-ever since my wife and I happened to see them lead worship at Graceland perhaps five years ago. We had no idea who they were back then; but, suitably impressed, we purchased their first CD and have enjoyed their music ever since. We caught them again a year or so later (once again leading worship at Graceland) but missed them the last two times they hit the bay area. It was fun to see them again, even if it was just an opening set. They played well, were fun as all get-out… but minus ten points for bad sound. Vocal? Check. Guitar. Check. Other guitar? Check. Kick Drum? Snare? Check and Check. Bass guitar? Huh… what?

Yeah ever since I saw them at Graceland that night, I’m like “what’s the big deal? they played at our church.“
I mean, I like that they’re from Waco, Texans unite and all that, but I don’t get the DCB craze. I tell ya’ I just don’t get it.
Now Third Day, that’s good stuff.

Welcome. This is the Botched Blog, the personal web site and hideous time-sink for Gustaf Fjelstrom (that would be me). Part proving ground and rickety digital soapbox, part high tech scrapbook of pixelated narcissism, this site will serve merely to document the journey… lest I forget.
