The Botched Blog
Back from Vacation
Back from vacation now… with sketches, even! Christine and I had a wonderfully relaxing week’s vacation in Hawaii. Plenty of nothing, you know? Plenty of lounging around. Plenty of reading. And just a few sketches… mostly on the beach, and few from the plane.
I didn’t make quite as much progress as I would have liked on “Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norell”... but I found it extremely enjoyable so far none the less.

Very nice drawings, they make me feel like I’m on vacation.

Posted by gustaf on 10/30 at 02:43 PMHawaii is a place which inspires many creative minds. You can relax there and return with your brain ready to start working again.
Posted by san francisco news on 11/13 at 06:33 PMYou should realise something! Vacations are for fun and relax and forgetting all about our job!! It is true, being an artist is not quite a normal job, it’s more like a permanent search within yourself! However, I think you should not be bothered by the fact that you haven’t work anything; it happens sometimes!

Welcome. This is the Botched Blog, the personal web site and hideous time-sink for Gustaf Fjelstrom (that would be me). Part proving ground and rickety digital soapbox, part high tech scrapbook of pixelated narcissism, this site will serve merely to document the journey… lest I forget.
